💡 Tip: Watch the verbs! “Tell” needs an object; “say” doesn’t.
💬 Unit 37: Modal Verbs in Reporting
Master how could, might, should, and must behave in reported speech, maintaining meaning even when tense changes.
💡 Tip: Don’t over-change modals — “might” and “should” often stay the same!
📝 Unit 38: Reporting Using Nouns and Adjectives
Use advanced reporting structures like It is said that… or There’s a belief that… to sound formal and academic.
💡 Tip: Great for IELTS Writing Task 2 and research essays.
⚖️ Unit 39: “Should” in That-Clauses & The Present Subjunctive
Learn formal sentence structures expressing necessity or importance (e.g., It is vital that she attend the meeting.).
💡 Tip: Remember — subjunctive verbs drop the “-s” in the third person!
