The university offers 58 undergraduate degrees, 45 graduate degrees, and 3 doctoral programs. Sacramento State faculty members are internationally known researchers and scholars. More than 80 percent of our full-time faculty hold a Ph.D. Preparing students for a professional career is a vital part of the education Sacramento State offers.
Thousands of students from all academic disciplines earn academic credit while working in internship positions, many of which are paid. Our 300-acre campus is sheltered by more than 3,500 trees and dotted with flower gardens. We have about 3 million square feet of building space. Miles of bicycle trails stretch along the nearby river parkway, linking the University and student housing with recreational areas such as Folsom Lake and Old Town Sacramento.
